Protecting Our Lifeblood—Water

Protecting Our Lifeblood

As a farmer for 3 decades, I am personally aware of the impact of water access, water cycles, water contamination and water abundance on food systems. But that is only the beginning.

WATER IS LIFE!

Every drop of water is essential not only for our survival but for the health of our ecosystems, communities, and future generations.

From the rivers that sustain our cities to the creeks that feed into the rivers, protecting our waterways is a community effort that needs everyone’s support.

In honor of this shared responsibility, I want to highlight some fantastic organizations dedicated to preserving and restoring water quality and availability across Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia.

These are organizations that I have had the privilege of working with and/or witnessing the power of their work.
